Episode 45 | Money Mindset Minisode with Melissa Blandford: Teaching Money Mindset to Kids

Motherhood, Kids, and Money with Melissa Blandford

There is so much that goes into raising children, and shaping their money perspective is one part of the game. Whether this is around money management, budgeting, saving, or delayed gratification, instilling these values early on can help set your children up for financial success later in life. Having open money conversations, teaching kids the difference between wants and needs, how to prioritize their spending, and setting clear boundaries and expectations is an integral part of motherhood and raising financially responsible children. Your kids are an open slate, and everything you say or do is an opportunity to teach them about financial responsibility and decision-making.

Join the conversation with Melissa as she shares her perspective and experiences with motherhood, kids, and money. As mothers, we have the power to shape our children's beliefs and habits around money. By modeling good financial behaviors, teaching them the best money practices, and involving them in money conversations, we can set them on the path to a successful financial future.

Chloe Lozano ,

Thank you for helping me neutralizing and harmonizing my relationship with money!

I am so grateful for this podcast and the real, raw, vulnerable conversations shared around money. I have been navigating my emotions and beliefs surrounding money and it really helps to hear honest convos that remind me that I’m never alone. Thank you so much for this!

My favorite podcast!

I love this podcast! Talking about money can be scary and stressful for me. Listening to this podcast makes all these fears I have about money go away. I love how open all the guest are about there money gains and fails.

ADvno ,

Great concept!

Great concept, love the mission statement at the beginning. This latest episode was tough, the host owns a lot of the conversation. I just started listening because I love Naive and I thought this concept was cool. I was disappointed when there were moments throughout where the host was owning more of the conversation than the guest. I think this aspect can be strengthened! Consider questions that provoke a deeper response from the guest, pause before speaking (there were lots of moments when you cut her off) and allow the guest to “stamp” the major points.
