Woo Woo with Rachel Dratch
Join comedian Rachel Dratch as she gets a little Woo Woo, discussing stories of the unexplained, the eerie and other-worldly. Rachel has gathered these tales from her funny friends over the years and invites you to listen in to the stories they may only tell to a trusted pal who will not judge. Psychics? Spirits? Astral Projection? Check, check, and check! Sure, we may live in a completely rational world where there’s no such thing as any of this stuff, but after you spend some time with Rachel, her co-host Irene Bremis, and pals, you might have your doubts, and find that…you too are WOO WOO! ~~ Follow Rachel Dratch on Instagram: @raedratch Twitter: @therealdratch ~~ Woo Woo with Rachel Dratch is brought to you by QCODE. Laws of Thermodynamics

I appreciate when guests discuss “energy” in terms of transfer and transmutation, since the law of conservation of energy states that it can neither be created nor destroyed. For example, kinetic energy moving a train down the tracks is not a closed/perfectly efficient system, so some of that kinetic energy is “lost”/converted to thermal energy as friction does it’s thing. The train’s combustion or steam engine first transmuted chemical energy into kinetic energy and so the cascade continues without “creating” energy. My personal feeling is that our souls are similarly a form of energy that can neither be created nor destroyed, only transferred or transmuted. P.S. The properties of waves and particles lends credence to my soul theory, in my opinion. “I don’t have a soul. I am a soul. I have a body.” - quote erroneously attributed to C.S. Lewis, but was actually Walter Miller, Canticle for Leibowitz (a 1959 science fiction novel) P.S.S. Harper Lee and will Ferrell have at least one woo woo story involving a unicycle. P.S.S.S. Joanne McNally is an Irish comedian who may have some interesting things to say regarding Wakes, wherein the deceased is displayed in the home for several days. Previous comments: Aisling Bea would be amazing as guest. I’m (one of) the people who suggested Jenny Slate and I would like to make you aware that Aisling Bea is pretty woo-woo and hilarious. She points out that after being raised Irish Catholic and then rejecting it she replaced all the ritual and imagery with crystals. Previous comments: When will CF’s mom be on?!? Also, Jenny Slate would make a great guest! Jenny Slate’s house growing up was haunted & I would love to hear the 3 of you chat. Yay for having John Fugelsang on! New review/suggestion: Punkie Johnson is woo woo by default, being from New Orleans, and would be great to have on to discuss all her “random” superstitions (we have A LOT in the South). Additionally, Bridget Marquardt from “The Girls Nextdoor” early 2000’s reality series considers herself a ghost magnet and would make a lovely guest. Holly Madison has also collected stories from the Playboy Mansion and done a series on murders that happened there, I think. I would consider having them on separately or planning on multiple episodes. Warmly, Dr. NB New guest suggestion: Mae Martin has lots of woo woo stories and friends; it might be worth having some of her woo woo friends on as well. Two of her friends lived 926 steps apart at different times and places in their lives. Mae is always full of “Mae Facts”, including woo woo ones involving lunar rituals practiced by elephants.
