6: Being your authentic self and avoiding negative peer comparison

Since an early age, most of us have competed in sports, education, and other activities. Many times this competitiveness leads to negative peer comparison… “My job vs. their job”, “My kids are in regular soccer, their kids are in advanced.”, “They seem to have everything, and I can’t pull myself together.” During this episode, Kajsa Berlin Kaufusi - Chief Operating Officer of ARISE (Project for Humanity) and Adjunct  Professor at BYU explains how focusing on our negative peer comparison emotions will adversely impact a career, a person’s happiness, and what we can do to combat the negativity.

Stellar Show

I've been listening to the working parents wilderness since it started. I'm not a parent and I'm currently laid off so I'm not working either but I still love it! I think it's a really cool balance of personal growth and family advice along with some thought-provoking innovative thought patterns around business.

Highly, highly, highly recommend!

My wife and I are obsessed with The Working Parent Wilderness podcast! As a working parent, it is easy to feel permanently overwhelmed. Working Parent Wilderness offers reassurance, validation and new insight into how to navigate professional and family challenges with confidence and self-awareness. Anxiously awaiting new episodes.

Mr.bisniss ,

Love listening and gaining new insight!

I have been able to listen to the first three episodes and have thoroughly enjoyed the interviews! The conversations are entertaining and filled with great insight and tips! I always leave an episode excited to share what I’ve learned with my husband. Im a stay at home (clearly, it’s hard work, just not in the typical sense) and am learning that I can apply lots of the principles taught in my marriage and with my kiddos. I’m excited to keep listening, learning and growing. Thanks for the great podcast, keep em coming!
