Worth Every Penny Joycast

I’ve been following Sarah since 2014 and she has helped me with my photography business so much! I love how creative and zesty she is! This is a great podcast!

First, love the title of the podcast. I feel women, in particular, often have a tough time placing specific monetary value on their own services. The title of the podcast hits home. I listened to episode #235 and felt greatly encouraged after just that one episode. It seems Sarah digs in and goes after all our defeating excuses with laser focus, intent to shatter them. Thank you! Looking forward to hearing more. :) Update: Just listened to episode #245 Breaking the Bubble: 4 Tips to Attracting Photography Clients Beyond Your Social Circle. Truly, Sarah’s podcasts contain nuggets of gold. In just 20 min she expertly navigates presenting the problem, demonstrating how she not only relates but also went through it (establishing authenticity) and then delivers on actionable solutions (actions steps)! Takeaway from this episode: Right-fit Clients. Power of Proximity! Say yes but for the right reason, have a yes filter. Action Steps: 1. Join gym or club in higher end part of town. Can’t do full dinner (due to budget)? 2.Go for the end of dinner drink/dessert to show up and connect (and save on splurging on full fine dining meal). 3. Check out Toastmasters! (one of those I knew about but forgot about!) 4. Volunteer on a local non-profit board (most members are individuals with disposable income… rubbing the right-fit elbows) and bonus, you get to give back while on the board and participate in helping a positive resource in your city continue to flourish, adding more value to your community.

I am very comfortable with the camera side of photography. Moving from hobby to monetizing it is another animal. This is opening up a new window for me to explore to help me be successful. Great podcast.
