Terrific podcast. A comedian and his girlfriend talking news, celeb stuff and anything else that pops up. What more could listeners ask for?
Great Podcast
As a lover of podcasts and former podcaster myself, I like to think I am in a unique position to review the medium from a bird's-eye view. There are many elements going on that the listener is unaware of: microphone setup, recording levels, topic preparation.
And then you have to deliver the goods. Let me be the first to tell you it isn't easy to be funny and insteresting on a regular basis. It's even more difficulut when people that you can not see are listening.
Comedian Steve McGrew and his girlfriend Janet Blair take it a step further. Not only to they deliver the goods, they make it look easy, a talent not easily mastered. Their natural chemistry is apparent as is their showmanship.
On Wrinkled Sheets, you feel like you are eavesdropping on an everyday conversation between your average couple. The things you say to your spouse when nobody is listening, "do you realy think the cat knows what you're saying," "why did you drag me to that horrible movie," and even "how was your day" becomes compelling in McGrew and Blair's capable hands.
I have yet to hear one episode where I didn't think about similar things that happen in my daily life. I find myself sometimes pointing at the iPod screaming, "Yes! They cancelled that show too soon" or "I have that same debate with my wife all the time!"
A little review like this can't begin to encapsulate how riveting this podacst is. The range of topics include sports, pets, music, television, movies, pop culture, relationships. There truly is something for everyone.
You should definitely give this one a shot. It's on my personal must-listen list.
