She is an author, poet, public speaker, curator and host. Miko holds a Bachelors of Science in Management, from National Louis University and an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. In August 2021, she became an Amazon bestseller of her first book, “Eggshells In Soft Black Hands,” which can be purchased online or at the Mahogany Bookstore in Washington DC. She also contributed a chapter to a book, 100 Poems and Possibilities for Healing, another Amazon Best Seller, in January 2024.Miko has also been published in various publications, reviews, magazines, journals and international anthologies. Her second book, “Pandemic- Suburban Women,” was completed in the Fall of 2022. Miko is working on her 3rd book of poetry and prose titled, “Pain & Prosecco.”She has featured at various venues up and down the East Coast. Some of her most recent notable features were, the Smithsonian National African American Museum of History and Culture, the Fairfax Chapter NAACP, and DCW50 Local News. Miko was a headliner at the 15th Annual Intersections Festival at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, March 2024 and recently, the Prince George’s County Poet of the Week, for Week 2 of National Poetry Month, April 2024.
