Yasmine Arrington Brooks grew up with her parents behind bars. When she started applying for college, she noticed a lack of scholarships for students in her situation. She founded the nonprofit ScholarCHIPS, which offers scholarships, mentorship and a peer support network for students with incarcerated parents.
