You're Wrong w/ Mollie Hemingway & David Harsanyi

Mollie and David are such good conversation partners. They mostly agree but tangle like siblings at times. Often they get me laughing so hard that I can’t go to sleep for awhile.

Please untie this from the Federalist Radio Hour. It is just obnoxious banter without real substance - which is too bad because the hosts are highly intelligent and educated. Fine if people enjoy this, but don’t attach it to the Federalist Radio Hour. Matt Kittle has done a great job of turning that podcast around, and I hate to see it nullified by this one.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the official name of the Church. The name was given by revelation. Since the beginning there have been people breaking off from the Church. Especially after Joseph Smith’s murder. Others broke off when polygamy became established publicly, others when polygamy was stopped. The name Mormon (originally Mormonite) was used as inventive by enemies of the Church. The word obviously comes because we use bothe the KJV Bible and The Book of Mormon. Many of the break offs (who regard the Salt Lake Church as an apostate institution) call themselves Mormon. Since the full name is what was given to us by Revelation the Prophet says this is what we should use. Let the splinter groups keep calling themselves Mormon. Why do we still use it somewhat carelessly? I am 70 years old and used the term all my life. I am still making the change. Sometimes I help non members understand by adding phrase you may know us as Mormons.

I’ve been a Federalist premium subscriber for years and also a regular Federalist Radio Hour listener. Only recently after something like 100 episodes have already been released I discovered You’re Wrong and it’s been a joy to listen to. Mollie is awesome on Bret Baier’s panels but she is 10 times better in long format. Oh, and David Harsanyi is good too! Thanks for this podcast I’ve really enjoyed it.
