Love your program, but please get rid of the Communism “ label on your computer. I envision someone tuning in and making the assumption you are for Communism.
Half the story

I caught your show by accident. I think when you tell a story, you need to tell the whole story. Yes, DeSantis originally voted against the Katrina bill. It was jam packed with Democrat PORK. JAM PACKED. So smart Congress persons voted NO. That FORCED the radical left wing fools to take the PORK out of the bill. DeSantis and all the Republicans voted for the bill. Is half a story, where you PURPOSELY left out the “rest of the story” HONEST JOURNALISM? I call FAKE NEWS.

I work for UAW represented workforce in the aerospace ind. Raytheon Inc. They offered contract not fitting of what we have done for them and shareholders. They are trying to freeze the pension and eliminate for future new hires . My father was a UAW member for 46 yrs. I have been one for 30. He always told me the UAW was really about 3 things. A fair days pay for a fair days work. A livable wage for the workers and family’s. And a pension so we can live a life of dignity and contribute to the economy. And a safe workplace with health benefits. Please have a program telling our unions to keep pension at all cost. Thank you Rick. I am Dave Clawson. A proud UAW member.
Home School

I was raised with public schools. My parents moved often. Every school has its own criteria. What I found really devastating. I love school I love doing all the work. That’s why I went on to college. When my children were in school are used to volunteer a lot. They went to one of the highest rating public schools. Our school went above and beyond. They had after school classes that people from the community taught like silk screening and art and computer classes. The report cards do not reflect the teachers work. They reflect how sociable the teacher was.In the fifth grade she had a teacher that said she was failing math because she couldn’t multiply as fast as they were supposed to. I told him to start her out small and when she reached a mile stone give her a sticker she loves stickers. He said well that’s not what we do in class and I said well if you want my daughter to learn that’s what you do. So I gave him stickers to give to everybody I gave him like 1000 stickers and he could do it with everyone and he said his class passed at a much faster rate. When I got custody of my granddaughter in the fourth grade. I sent her back to the same school which was rated very poor. There were no afterschool classes. And the bully right there was very high. The sameKids transferred to sixth and seventh. By the seventh grade she was having a lot of problems so I pulled her out of school. I could not get into homeschooling through theOnline learning. Except at semester breaks which this was it was Easter. So I toddler at home I have the credentials so I thought nothing of it she really liked it. The next year I signed her up for homeschooling and we did that a year before thePandemic started. So in 2019 she started public school then had to go back to online learning in March. I believe the public school systems need to do a combination. On the online learning class for her civics they had these games where you had to answer if something was constitutionally correct. I couldn’t get her off the game and she was good and she passed civics with no problems. For math they had games of all kinds and they could just go up the list. I believe a lot of the homework could be done online and some of the classes like learning their alphabet and what not they can do a lot of that at home.I believe for PE and some of the other classes they need to be in a building or on grounds so so they have the social activities. I think as they get into high school they should be on grounds for a lot of it. But the classes could be smaller if they did certainBlocks of it at home. I sent her to the community club center after school so that she could get a lot of the socialization when she was in homeschooling. But they don’t help the children with their schoolwork which is what I sent herThere for because she was feeling in some of her classes. What she did was socialize which was good. But then we had to do more homework at home. When I was working and had children in school. The problem was I had to have daycare for an hour before school started and for two hours after school started but I had to pay for the whole day and the bus drop them off at the daycare. Daycare is very very expensive. My rent was half by check daycare with another quarter we lived on the rest. I was a nurse so my pay wasn’t all that great so what was left was not much. There needs to be changes in the school I voted for year-round schooling but to make the class a smaller you could do it in different types of blocks and it should be more like the MontessoriStyle learning. When they say peers they say their second graders there this age those are always there peers. The school did not have a way to deal with the bullies. They need training in that and the schools need to be on the same page of different schools for the same grade or do it Montessori style.I was in the San Jose area when I graduated from high school my senior year I transferred three different school the last was in April when I got to the final school they said I didn’t have anything that I needed to learn in so I only went half day with elective classes. When I got to eighth grade the teacher looked at me and said you have two weeks left of school how am I supposed to test you so for government I had to recite the preamble and for every word that I got wrong I dropped my grade, starting with A+. Teachers are not rewarded for that type of stuff. It’s just my opinion thank you for your podcast
