You Never Know How Powerful You Are, Until You Do with guest, Sandy Rosenthal

The Empowering Process Podcast With Gail Kraft

Episode 138

Sandy Rosenthal believed she was a normal woman, wife, mother, and friend until she was called to action. Sandy evacuated from New Orleans during the Katrina Hurricane, the costliest tropical cyclone on record. What made this so devastating is that the levees gave way.

Intended to prevent overflow these levees failed. This also was the most costly engineering disaster in US history where nearly 1400 people died.

Sandy discovered that the US Army Corp of Engineers were not owning the problem. A fire within was born and she discovered a person inside her that she didn't know existed––a person capable of making the world a better place.

Listen as Sandy shares her story of creating momentum in support of exposing the truth of why so many people suffered and forcing remediation from the government. She founded the non-profit, Levees.org with 25,000 supporters nationwide. Her book––Words Whispered in Water––is about how she led an investigative team to expose the culprit in the levee breach disaster.
