I love diving into deep topics: faith, trauma, current events, etc. On another note I love comedy and have seen more than my share of the best comedians. This show IS NOT those things. In a world of extreme feelings and opinions everywhere, I just am not always in the mood to feel and think deeply. I just want to listen to someone talk without an agenda. Most people are this way IMO and have plenty of armchair podcasts they casually listen to for that purpose. Well, if you come from a Christian worldview, then you understand that FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON; a “Christian perspective” podcast means you find podcasts in 3 categories 99% of the time. 1. The Bible plus something to be mad about. 2. The Bible plus something to be sad about. 3. The Bible plus how to fix your life and stop being a loser for God, you sinner. This show is 2 guys who are Christians and not the weird ones. They have normal conversations which occasionally leads to a hilarious or insightful few minutes of listening. Most times it’s just average, but that’s the good part in my view. If you’re looking to give your overactive amygdala a break, these guys are good!
