Not to mention the fact that it’s warm weather time in the S Hemisphere So either way, there’s the chance that there could be a wedding to attend on your calendar in the next little while.     Are you all set for the busiest travel time of the year in the United States? That’s what Thanksgiving is, and this one is expected to be one of the biggest. Which means a ton of ppl are going to be traveling next week and one of those ppl might be you! We’re talking about packing today because I want to help make at least that part of your trip potentially less stressful, and you should get started as soon as today to help achieve that. - Take one step at a time, take the things you absolutely have to have, take care of yourself.     We’re back on the albums again! Part TWENTY FOUR, 70-61. - This week features A Tribe Called Quest, my bloody valentine, Nirvana, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) - When do we EVER have time for Poetry Time on Albums eps anymore? I don’t even try lol. Here’s the written version for you: - ***Today’s Poetry Time*** ____________________________________________________ The Gardener Have I lived enough? Have I loved enough? Have I considered Right Action enough, have I come to any conclusion? Have I experienced happiness with sufficient gratitude? Have I endured loneliness with grace? I say this, or perhaps I'm just thinking it. Actually, I probably think too much. Then I step out into the garden, where the gardener, who is said to be a simple man, is tending his children, the roses. -by Mary Oliver ____________________________________________________ To honor the top 100 albums (and my favorite poet), the poems for the rest of this series will now return to all coming from Mary Oliver :) after an impromptu diversion last week. - ONLY 60 ALBUMS TO GO!!! My word. (It occurred to me recently that I’m really going to miss this project once we’re through.) Onward and upward we continue. - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. - Keep taking care of your mental health and your people.
