I got into this podcast via the Coffee & UFOs podcast with Gary Nolan, which was fascinating. Alan is an outstanding interviewer, and I appreciate that he’s not shy about asking skeptical questions where merited. He’s a very smart guy who balances a scientific mind with a believer’s soul. :) I recently went back and listened to his ep with Echo Bodine, and she was great. What that ep had that others sometimes lack is Echo spoke very directly and focused on the positives and what we can do to empower ourselves. A lot of guests will bring doom and gloom, or will be too afraid to answer questions directly about religion and such because they’re afraid of blowback, but it can leave listeners confused or scared. To his credit, Alan tries to keep it positive. I would just suggest always leaving enough time in dark or confusing episodes to leave people feeling empowered. I.e. what I can do myself without needing to hire a paranormal consultant, etc. Sometimes conversations get so rushed for time that some really big questions gets left on the table. A long-form format with less time pressure may be more appropriate for some guests. Also, a note that sometimes the audio balance gets whacky with the guests being on their own shoddy equipment.

I have been listening to Alan for over a year now, and he does a really great job with interviews. He gets a lot of great interviews with some pretty well known names in the paranormal field too. Following this show on your podcasts & on YouTube is a must if you love hearing in depth discussions about all things in the paranormal.

Host constantly interrupted the guest w/questions that made it appear he wasn’t listening. I love the content, but the host wanted to belabor worn out issues that were covered many times on many shows. Rick is a WEALTH of knowledge but he was made to cover the same old tropes and trying for the gotcha.
