POWER Part 1: of PURPOSE Dionne Salmonds Original Air Date: 2025.02.16 If you discovered the cure for cancer, the way to end world hunger, or bring world peace, would you tell as many people as possible, or would you keep it to yourself out of fear or rejection? The answer is obvious... you would tell EVEYONE! Post it to social media, schedule a news conference! Yet, there are many people armed with the power to change the world, yet they are hindered – from fear, lack of knowledge or lack of interest. The POWER of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Christ has the POWER to cure the cancer of sin, hate, anger, violence, addiction, jealousy, broken relationships, emotional health... if we have the knowledge of that power, why would we not share it with others? We’re talking about evangelism, a word that confuses people, maybe scares them or is seen as someone else’s responsibility. However, Jesus calls ALL Christians to tell others about His message of hope and salvation. So where do you fit in this? Join us starting Feb. 15 and 16 for our POWER series, where we will learn what evangelism is and isn’t, the different styles of evangelism, the common objections we will hear, how to answer the hard questions and how to endure while walking with others in their faith journey. Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am. Promiseland Kids Church is available Sunday at 10:30am for Toddler – 5th grade and Youth Sunday School for Jr. and Sr. High.
