What makes you a heretic? Journalist Andrew Gold believes that, in an age of group-think and tribes, we need heretics - those who use unconventional wisdom to speak out against their own groups, from cancelled comedians and radical feminists to cult defectors and vigilantes hunting deviants. Learn from my guests how to rebel, think differently and resist social contagion. From Triggernometry's Francis Foster and the world's most cancelled man Graham Linehan to ex-Hasidic Jew Julia Haart and gender critical atheist Richard Dawkins. These are the people living with the weight of their own community's disappointment on their shoulders.

Awesome!

Andrew, I’ve been binging your show ever since I discovered you on Jordan Harbinger’s show (Skeptical Sunday). I really love your interviews and the kind an empathetic way you talk to your guests, even if you do not necessarily agree with their views. My only criticism is that you need not apologies for expressing your views in fear of the woke culture cancelling you. I believe you have a big enough following and support to ever allow that to happen! You’re great! I’m not sure if you are aware of this but we do have a large Hasidic community here in Johannesburg, South Africa. I find the information you have provided about them fascinating. I can’t help but wonder if there are people in my community experiencing what some of your guests have experienced and if they have a way out available to them like you have in the UK and the US. As a guest suggestion perhaps you could talk to people in the South African Hasidic community? Unfortunately I do not have anyone to refer you… Love the show, keep up the great work!
