Informative and Balanced Perspectives & Coverage ofWar in Ukraine

Thank you to the Telegraph Team for your fantastic pod that keeps us well informed of developments in this horrible war that should never have happened. I find the pod comprehensive in content and balanced and realistic in it’s approach. Telegraph presenter s are highly professional and this shines through with their empathy for the people affected by this terrible war initiated by Russia. I am a regular daily listener for many months. Thank you from South Africa.
Not welcome.

Morning I am a kiwi living in Cape Town. Thank you for mentioning the Russian ships coming to Cape Town. They are not welcome. A Russian yatch was refused entry last yr by the opposition party that run Cape Town . But about 3 month ago a ship known to move arms arrived in Simonstown navy port Cape Town (down the Rd) and off loaded and loaded under cover of darkness. This was illegal. The ANC believes anything the Russians tell them. Hopefully they will not be in power after 2024. Hopefully this will start to remove the Russian influence in Africa. There are a lot of Russian s in Cape Town with money. Our deputy president went to Russia last yr for 6 mth for treatment for poisoning a few yrs ago. They have been totally hoodwinked by Putin. With our electricity crisis. I have no power for at least 6 hrs per day for last 130 days . Hopefully the ANC voters will change their votes. I appreciate all the work that goes into the podcasts as listen from Cape Town. My parents lived in Uk during ww11. So I have have a small insight into dreadful effects war has on children when they become adults. I wish the Ukraine all the best for a bright positive future. We all had hope for South African but greed and selfishness took that away. Ukraine is made up of clever and strong people . They will win.
Exhaustive Analysis of the Ukrainian War

I have fairly recently discovered the podcast which I cannot desist from listening now. Based and living in South Africa, close to the Kruger National Park, I am obviously far away from the conflict. And yet we also feel very much the negative consequences of the conflict, notably fuel and food price increases; these have led to many people in South Africa refusing to pay the bill. What the Telegraph Ukraine: The Latest does well, is give much perspective and in-depth analysis on the conflict. It does not gloss over the facts, it digs deep into the news. The world’s past interconnectedness brings risks and will surely yield all of us to review this web and perhaps disentangle to a more or less degree from it: let us not be naive and say that there are only benefits to globalisation; there are also drawbacks and we need to face them. I also believe that sooner or later all countries will have to take sides: some countries have sat on the fence, something which will be untenable in the long term.
