A Message About the Future of the Show
Some news: Emmanuel and Alex will be stepping away from making the show. And this iteration of Reply All will be ending in late June.
This isn’t a decision that was made by any one person. Reply All has always been a super collaborative project which is what we’ve loved so much about making it. Ultimately, staff who have been working on this show for a long time – in some cases five, six, seven years at this point – are ready to pursue other things.
Making this show has been an incredible pleasure. Thank you all so much for listening.
We hope you join us for our remaining episodes, including our last one, on June 23rd.

From hero to, like, I dunno
This was for a long time the best podcast out there. Quirky, sharp and insightful. I fully back and understand the needs for the changes that you made, and you guys have the ability to pull off good shows - but there are some basic editorial oversights sorely lacking in the new setup.
For example - just count the number of times the presenters use the word “like” in the episode based almost entirely on the producer’s sister’s inability to burp. I lost count in the dozens, and it’s such an easy thing to remove to improve flow.
Reporting also isn’t about chatting to a family member and one guy who’s worked in the tech field who once heard some teenagers making a video upstairs - if you’re going to ask a question such as “how does Tik Tok deliver such accurate videos”, an adequate answer isn’t “it’s super complicated, probably has to do with being able to measure disliked videos, but like here’s an expert on not burping - who my sister won’t visit because she’s only ever had stitches and is nervous but maybe she will one day”.
The gems in this podcast lie in the tireless ability to answer questions about the online world that surrounds us that we all had but didn’t know how to uncover. Not in the half hearted attempts and then taking another four week break.
One of my favorites
This podcast has been a favorite of mine for a while and the recent addition of Emmanuel Dzotsi as a host has made it just that much better.
