    Padres don't make significant moves at Winter Meetings | 660

    Thoughts on what went on at the Winter Meetings this week. Mike Shildt expressed confidence in his club's ability to sign Roki Sasaki. His agent, Joel Wolfe, talked about the negative Japanese media affecting Sasaki mentally and how him signing with a smaller market team might be beneficial to him. Also, Kevin Acee reported the Padres are having conversations with other teams about Dylan Cease and they haven't yet had contract extension discussions with Luis Arraez. Garrett Crochet was traded to the Red Sox so who could be suitors for Cease? Jon Heyman said today the Padres are listening on some of their stars including Xander Bogaerts.
