The Bible in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz)

I first stumbled upon this podcast in 2021 on Day 179. I sincerely thank God (and everyone who listened before me and made it pop up on my recommendations) that I found it because my life and my faith will never be the same again😭. I started listening again (from Day 1 this time) in February 2022, and I have just listened to Day 365 today (22 February 2023). I cried like a baby during this episode 😂 (and on Day 44; I can’t even remember why😅) but in my defence so did Fr Mike😅. After this last episode, one thing is firm and more real for me than ever, God’s deep and unending love for me😭. I’ve never been more convinced of this than I am today. And so when I pray “Our Father” tonight, I will mean it and believe it. Thank you Ascension!

2nd year here and as a catholic I completely love this podcast

I am not catholic. I am neither a traditional Christian. Having said that I have to tell you that I enjoyed this show / series to such an extent that I am redoing it. This is a real blessing to those who would receive it. Those who would have ears, let them hear.

As I sit here reflecting on this Bible In A Year journey with Father Mike, I scrolled down reading the Review Comments and noted a score of 4.8 out of 5. That’s a high score of course! Waiting for day 338 episode to come out, second time around the sun, as Father Mike puts it, completely enthralled by the way this gem of a human goes about explaining Gods Word, I have to wonder who could possibly award anything but 5 stars to this amazingly well put together production. Everything about this Bible In A Year, In my opinion, is not only highly inspirational, but also extremely professionally put together, by all involved in it’s production. If I could vote 100 stars out of 5, if that were ever possible to make sense, then I would. But I suppose this just goes to show that you really can’t please all of the people all of the time, sadly!
