"I'm Speaking" is a take on (now) Vice-President Kamala Harris at the US VP debate with (then) VP Pence as she had to say "Excuse me, I'm Speaking" when he kept interrupting her and cutting her off. This term became famous for a lot of women and I thought it was fitting since this is a podcast and I'm literally 'speaking' my mind on women in business as well as being an introvert and a highly sensitive person in life and in business in an 'extroverted' and 'non-sensitive' world.

A lot of my episodes are 'Love Letters' to Introverts and Highly Sensitives.

Ep 104 Learning to Reward Myself

Ep 104 Learning to Reward Myself

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! Are you an ‘over achiever’? Do you reward yourself or give yourself a pat on the back for what you’ve accomplished? The most of us don’t. And if you’re a woman and/or a neurodivergent and have ADHD we’re always ‘on to the next’ aren’t we? I am rewarding myself right now but it’s not easy. For the most of my life I didn’t reward myself ever or even know where to start. (And it’s different for everyone.) Hint. It’s usually what fills our cups and is hand and hand with self-care. ;) I’m learning to reward myself more and give myself a pat on the back for what I *have accomplished instead of thinking “what’s next?”. ;) We’re all works in progress y’all and I’m sure I’ll/we’ll always have to remind myself/ourselves of this until I/we pass. But at least we can start small and start today. :) I hope this episode helps you in reminding yourself to also reward yourself for what you’ve accomplished and to relish more in giving yourself a pat on the back as well. :) Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 103 My Day Job Is My Angel Investor for my Side Hustle

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! This episode is short and sweet and is something that I needed to hear myself right now. :) From time to time I get impatient with not being my own boss already, being self-employed and being a Content Creator and Podcaster full-time. I have to remind myself that my day job is an Angel investor for my side hustle. It’s allowing me to not only have a roof over my head and food to eat but to also pay for things like a website and podcast tools and software for example. I hope this helps you if you’re also getting impatient with not being where you want to be already. ;-) I hope you enjoy this episode and that it has helped you in any way. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 102 It’s Okay To Change Your Mind

Ep 102 It’s Okay To Change Your Mind

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! In this episode I speak about how “it’s okay to change your mind”. I heard Oprah say this on her television show back in the day and I remember everyone in the audience gasping as was I. Even at my young age back then I didn’t know that I could change my mind! Crazy, right? Well we can. :) Recently I felt lost because I thought ‘this is it’ I can “kick-back” now when my instincts were like “oh no…you can’t stay here long, this is not the place for you”. After being shell shocked, confused and then a little depressed… I slept on it and I realized that “it is okay for me to change my mind.”. (You may hear some sounds in the background as I’m outside.) I’m focusing on the ‘done, not perfect’ approach. ;) I hope you enjoy this episode and that it helps you to realize the same…that “it’s okay to change your/our minds”. ;) Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 101 Gratitude Made All the Difference!

Ep 101 Gratitude Made All the Difference!

Hi lovely! Thanks for listening! In this episode I talk a lot about the ups and downs that I’ve been having recently and how sometimes I can be quick to think about ‘what I don’t have’ and ‘what I can’t do’ vs ‘what I do have’ and ‘what I can do’. I was starting to go down a ‘negative rabbit hole’ when I realized all that I have which is a lot! 1. My health 2. A Roof over my head 3. Food to eat 4. A computer 5. A cell phone. Boy did my mood change from going down a ‘negative rabbit hole’ to gratitude! I hope this episode helps you if you’re going through a ‘downward spiral’ of thoughts and/or that you catch yourself about to go through a ‘downward spiral’ of thoughts because we all have something or someone to be grateful for at all times don’t we? ;-) Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 100 Being an HSP And Our Nervous Systems

Ep 100 Being an HSP And Our Nervous Systems

Heyo! Thanks for listening! In this episode I speak about how if you’re an Empath and/or an HSP (highly sensitive person) that our nervous systems are more ‘sensitive’ and we get more ‘shocks’ to our nervous systems when we’re going through major life changes like (moving, getting a new job, getting married and/or having a baby). And with this said we get drained more and due to this we need to recharge even more and take even more self-care. The irony is that we (Empaths and HSP’s) usually tend to put ourselves last vs first during these major life changes. I just did this with a major life change recently. :-/ I also I speak about how ‘time pressures’ will drain us and how giving ourselves ‘wiggle room’ and more grace will help our nervous systems and us to take self-care and to recharge. I hope you enjoy this episode! Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 99 I’m Putting Myself Last Again! :(

Ep 99 I’m Putting Myself Last Again! :(

Heyo! Thanks for listening! In this episode I speak about putting myself last yet again! :( I did this for fourteen years when I was a caretaker but I’ll be damned if I do this again. I’ve had a lot of changes recently and I’ve been feeling discombobulated (for lack of a better word) and with this I’ve slowly but surely been going back to how I was the most of my life which is self-less and putting myself last all.the.time. The difference this time is that I have self-awareness and I’m catching myself faster for having these feelings of “I need to recharge” and “I need some me time”. I hope you enjoy this episode and that it helps you especially if you’re having some of these same thoughts and feelings. Sincerely, Elizabeth
