INSPIRATION FOR LIFE
We come right out with it: we like to inspire and we like it juicy!

Our first edition is a collection around the theme of TOGETHERNESS,
and what this concept brings up in each of us, and as a collective.
We will publish four editions a year, on solstices and equinoxes, goddess willing!

We come from diverse cultures, perspectives, age groups, genders,
but we are together, enjoying the process of developing content
that has Nectar in it, that is juicy and full of life, for other bees and hummingbirds
to get their fill of inspiration. Let the love flow far and wide!

BIRTHING CONSCIOUS HUMANS - WITH WATER

BIRTHING CONSCIOUS HUMANS - WITH WATER

Welcome to the BIRTHING CONSCIOUS HUMANS podcast.

This second series is about supporting birth and newborn life WITH WATER.

While immersed in warm water I began to remember more of who I am. It wasn’t what I was intending to happen. It just it.

Water helps us remember more of who we are by teaching us how to adapt and rise up to meet the waves of change we encounter in life, while also re-membering us back to a sense of wholeness from the inside out.

My name is Sophia Michalopoulou and I am an aquatic perinatal therapist, a newborn and baby swimming instructor as well as pregnancy and birth baby doula.

For this second series of the BIRTHING CONSCIOUS HUMANS podcast called WITH WATER I invited friends and colleagues who are dear to my heart and with whom I have a personal resonance and experience of their therapeutic work in water.

Contributors to the second series so far will be:

Sophia Michalopoulou - REMEMBERING MORE OF WHO WE ARE

Sophia de Rosa Ortiz - WATER BIRTHS

Zara Peasland - INTEGRATING BIRTH WITH WATER

Javier Gonzalez - SOUND, WATER & BABIES

Laila Sell - LISTENING LIKE WATER

Els Soetaert - WATER & BIRTH MEMORIES

    and more....

BIRTHING CONSCIOUS HUMANS - WITH WATER will be released in April 2021.

The music track for this series is called "In the Belly of a Whale" and has been contributed by Igor Ezendam from "Feeling Sound".

    FEELING SOUND - BREATHING LIFE

    FEELING SOUND - BREATHING LIFE

    Feeling Sound, Breathing Life

    By Igor Ezendam

Hello dear listener, my name is Igor and I love sound. To sing, to express my emotions through my voice and through my musical instruments, to vibrate inside, to listen and discover silence, this is my world. My focus has been on learning to feel on all levels of being.

Now that we are talking about ‘Riding The Waves Of Change In Love’ for this Nectar Edition, I feel to bring some relaxation through sound, with its promise of regeneration. When we focus on our breath, on our sound, on the vibrations and sensations, all these can come together to give a full picture of the different levels of our experience in this moment. We can learn to observe and experience at the same time…

As a part time nerd, I am still learning how to express myself fully and authentically. As a voice teacher, though, I have done some inner work that has not only facilitated my ability to create overtones, also called ‘vocal harmonics’, on top of my ‘normal’ singing voice, but also to find a certain peace inside, a gift that comes when I sing. I express my inner world and feel it resounding through all my bodies: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

I discovered for myself that singing not only helps to feel the tensions we hold inside our bodies, moving sound vibration through our system actually helps relax these tensions immensely. I have many examples of students feeling partial or total pain relief, after only an hour of singing together.

We practice listening inside after singing, to feel our body’s responses, the energy moving, this remarkable quiet in the head, and the whole body feeling like a mountain.

This temporary peace of mind, this silence after a round of singing exercises, like the ones I’m about to share with you, is awesome and worth discovering for yourself.

I would want you to feel in your body what I’m talking about. To feel powerful in your sound and peaceful in your silence. And I have a plan to make that happen. Will you let me guide you? If the answer is yes, then I will take you through a few exercises and points of you that, in my experience, help balance life....thank you for listening.

    The Eternal Dance of Life

    The Eternal Dance of Life

    Maintaining individuality while experiencing “togetherness”.

Connection, reaching out and sharing are essential needs of human beings, something at the very base of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and balance.

However, it is not always an easy journey because, especially as adults, we may carry quite heavy luggage in terms of past traumatic events which have affected our social interaction. So, how can I really meet the other, trust the other, be honest and open to others if I am not first familiar and at ease with my own self?

And once I have made the first step and I can reach out in a healthier way, how to remain true to myself and respectful of my own boundaries and needs while melting, co-creating, loving and sharing?

Written and narrated by Mukta Arianna Tidei.

    The Nectar of Togetherness

    The Nectar of Togetherness

Enjoy Reflections on our Togetherness shared by members of the Nectar Collective also known as Nectarines after the site-specific group art project led by French Canadian — American artist Chantal Maltais-Oei and Dutch artist Igor Ezendam, at Katikia Music Farm in Arillas, painting eight totem poles around an outdoor fireplace.

It all began in a sharing circle which ended up as something bigger than ourselves alone.

    Our first edition theme: “Togetherness”.

Listen in to some individual heart sharings about what we each extracted as the Nectar of our Togetherness, our personal learning experiences in other words, over the past few months.
