PSM Interviews Episode #2 - Marena De Jesus Surviving Casa By The Sea Pot Smoking Moms

    • Gesellschaft und Kultur

In this episode we talk to The Green NP - Marena De Jesus about FlowGrowns new mushroom infused products since Sunny Dee already had a test run.
Marena then takes us through her childhoods turning point and the events leading up to her getting dropped off at one of the worlds most abusive disciplinary schools for troubled teens.
She describes what it was like during her stay at Casa By The Sea and why even on home visits she never told her parents the truth about the abuse that many endured while attending.
Marena dives into factors she believes saved her from further abuse and a longer stay, she gives us disturbing details of the living conditions and the insurmountable rules enforced on the children attending. The most shocking part is that the troubled teen schools industry still runs and operates in different countries to this very day under the moniker: WWASP.
She discusses the parallels she drew from watching the Netflix documentary: The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping, and how her friends and family who she had told were able to fully understand and validate her experience after watching it.
We talk about the relationship with her Mother who had no idea what was really happening at the school she was paying to help her daughter, and how she approached telling her Father what really went down immediately after completing her time in the program.

This was a moving interview, we hope you enjoy it and keep the conversations going.
