Behind the Beat is a Gender Amplified original podcast highlighting the work of female and non-binary music producers.
Vira began working as an intern for Electric Lady Studios, and when the internship ended, she thought she would never work at a studio again. Fast forward four years and Vira held the title of Assistant Manager at that very studio. Vira found a way to marry her undeniable talent with her passion for community organizing by co-founding Now What (@nowwhat.nyc on IG), an organization which connects people who work in diverse sectors of the music industry.
