When Freebirth Heals the Mother Wound: Arie’s First Birth Free Birth Society

    • Gesellschaft und Kultur

Today I am joined by Arie, a Radical Birth Keeper School Grad who freebirthed her first baby after the school, supported by her partner and mother. Since RBK doors are open right now, we gotta highlight these epic women who experienced major transformation during and after the program!

When Arie got pregnant she knew she would stay home. She didn't want to hire a professional, and *did* deeply want to have her mom there, despite the fact that they weren't on speaking terms. Arie consciously took steps to repair their relationship. In the end, her mother held perfect space, so much healing took place, and Arie freebirths a perfect little boy.

Here's what you'll hear in Arie's story:

✨How Arie accepted her mother for who she is, set boundaries, and learned to be in healthy relationship

✨The freedom in dropping the story that having kids precludes doing all you want in life

✨The power of feeling emotions fully without attaching thoughts (especially in the huge experience of pregnancy).

✨The fears (and racism) propagated in the only doctor visit Arie attended

✨How Arie uninvited her sisters to her birth at the last minute and why this "no" was so clear to her

✨The importance of being internally resourced to flow with the intensity of pregnancy and birth

✨Why we women require witnessing, especially in postpartum

Enjoy!
