Conversations with Australian creative artists in Berlin. Hosted by Aussie actors Mala Ghedia & Angus McGruther.
Ep. 20 | Cast of "Out Of Chaos" - Circus Artists
"Out of Chaos" is the third show devised by Adelaide circus company Gravity and Other Myths and is half way through its six-month season at Berlin's famous Chamäleon Theater. A riveting and nail-biting spectacle, the cast of 8 circus artists and 1 musician take the audience on a journey through the ages and into dimensions that bend our perception of time, space and the physical state of order and chaos. We sat down with cast members Martin Schreiber, Dylan Phillips and Amanda Lee who shared some insight into the world of circus and their current season at the Chamäleon.
OUT OF CHAOS
Runs until 16th February 2020 at the Chamäleon Theater, Berlin-Mitte.

Ep. 19 | Andrew Green - Entrepreneur & Founder of WunderTree
In the relatively short time span that Andrew Green has called Berlin home he is certainly making a positive mark! Having lived in several places around the world and with a background in business, Greenie, as he is known affectionately by his friends, is living up to this nickname in an innovative way with his new start-up initiative WunderTree.
It costs Berlin around €1 Million to collect up to 400,000 dead Christmas trees each year to be burnt. WunderTree is aiming to decrease this waste of a valuable natural resource by delivering trees FOR FREE and collecting them after Christmas to replant in Brandenburg's forests, helping to combat climate change.
To celebrate its first year every new WunderTree customer will receive a special gift upon delivery. ;)
Andrew Green was born in Leeton, and grew up in Newcastle, NSW. He now lives in Neukölln with his German wife, Melinda.
Ep. 18 | Lior - Singer/Songwriter and Actor
In Germany as part of an German-Australian artist residency, Lior woo'd Berlin's Australian and artistic communities with two intimate concerts during his week long visit. With the recent release of his newest album 'Between You & Me' and the ongoing success of his Compassion project we couldn't be more excited to get Lior on the show. In addition to his music career, we also chat to him about Israeli roots, his foray into acting and musical theatre as well as his charity work.
Ep. 17 | Angus McGruther & Mala Ghedia - New Season Recap!
We're back! After an extended hiatus, Ozländer hosts Mala and Angus return for a new season of sit-down discussions with Berlin's expanding community of resident and touring Aussie artists. In this recap episode, we wanted to give an update of what's been going on for both of us professionally, amongst our trips back home to Oz and overseas. Stay tuned for more Ozländer guests in 2019.
Ep. 16 | Cast of Circa's Peepshow
Meet Billie Wilson-Coffey, Ela Bartilomo und Gerramy Marsden from Circa's Peepshow! We were super excited to get these guys on the podcast... our first ever circus guests! These impressive three make up part of the cast of Circa's Peepshow, a sexy and tantalising spectacle of acrobatic skill with a saucy cabaret flavour. We chatted about running away to join the circus, what it's like performing in Berlin and how they push themselves to their limits. Circa is a Brisbane-based Contemporary Circus and Circa's Peepshow is part of their residency at the Chamäleon Theater in Berlin.
