PB PERS Jupiter Tequesta Repeater Group

Palm Beach Perspective

Talked with Bert Moreschi, President, Jupiter Tequesta Repeater Group (JTRG). "JTRG is an ARRL affiliated, Special Service Club and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that’s committed to the promotion of Amateur Radio and providing community assistance and goodwill." They are sometimes referred to as "Ham" radio operators. They are doing a field day Sat/Sun June 25/26 at Carlin park and listeners are invited to come out, check out the different techniques they are going to try and use to power the radios and make contacts. Listeners can try to make a contact using a special station supervised by a trained operator. JTRG has weekly chats, helps with weather alerts, offers instruction for new ham operators to get licensed. The next class is coming up October 1s/2nd.
