The Duncan & Coe History Show
Bestselling authors and historians Mike Duncan and Alexis Coe are far-flung buddies who slice through centuries with the sharpness of a guillotine. In this wide-ranging series, Duncan, best-known for The History of Rome and Revolutions, and Coe, a presidential historian and senior fellow leave no stone unturned, no sacred cow un-tipped.

I’m a fan of both Alexis Coe and Mike Duncan. I’ve read works from both and largely came to this via Duncan’s Rome and Revolutions podcast and books but enjoyed reading Coe’s Washington biography. I am so far enjoying this podcast but more so looking forward to what it can and will be. I’m particularly looking forward to (and enjoyed) dialogue about good history texts. A show like this would be a great service in helping to direct listeners to good literature they could themselves read to develop their own awareness (and avoid in the case of Coe’s book review). This show would also do a great service to many works of scholarship, promoting and shining a spotlight on them as well as the authors behind them. I certainly will be listening out for good books to buy (and good things to read) - and I will. I like the unscripted nature of it and learning more about both as people and contributors to the historical field.
