Really nice stories coming through! I’ve enjoyed listening to all of these episodes. I wish you would slow down a little though, I often have to skip backwards because you’ve run over things so quickly. Also the Diadochi episodes could have gone twice as long I feel like there was much less getting into the characters and story than in the Alexander podcasts.

My new favourite podcast. As a lifelong history fan and collector of ancient coins, this series is a must for anyone interested in ancient history: superb narration, excellent interviews with subject specialists - and a constant reminder that truth can often be stranger than fiction. The career of Alexander the Great, the turmoil caused by his early death, and the evolution of the Diadochi kingdoms created by his commanders are explored in great detail, with constant references to primary sources. The successors of Alexander, especially the Ptolemies and Seleucids, make Game of Thrones look like Sesame Street.

Really enjoying this podcast- up to episode 10. My only comment is on the pronunciation of ‘King’ Alexander. In Greek King is Βασιλιά (Basilia) but is Greek B is pronounced as V so should be written more as Vasilyas

Minimal biased perspectives get interjected in this podcast which in contrast to many of the other history podcasts and given that we live in overly politicised times, is a feat as impressive as the show itself. Not having to try and look through the muddied waters of the presenters opinion and questioning how much of the information you can trust is really refreshing. If anyone is looking to get into this underrepresented but critical part of history (especially helpful if you study theology) then I can’t recommend a better starting point.
