TV Guidance Counselor
Each week Boston Comedian Ken Reid and his guests discuss a specific issue of TV Guide. They debate, consider and discuss the difficult viewing choices of our past.
Surprisingly dull
26/01/2019
Looking at the amount of podcasts and the names of the interviewees, you would think “wow, this is going to be astounding, I’m going to learn so many new things”. I was annoyed that after listening to over ten interviews with people I would be interested to know about or hear from, each of those episodes were by-and-largely quite dull. Each interview is strictes the same, rarely does the host go into areas that may challenge the interviewee - therefore each episode is dedicated to being fluffy rather than informative. There is also an underlying feel to each podcast, it feels as though the show is more about him than the guest or the podcast itself . The theme of the podcast is more skewed towards reassurance than learning something new. If you’re looking for a podcast that is more in line with getting you into a positive mood (the jokes on me I guess, because he is a tv ‘guidance counsellor”) then check this out. Personally, I hoped it would be more about the subject than the host.
