Kiara Macphereson - Teen Chef and Influencer (Extended Version)

Kiara, from Cooking with Kiara lives in Japan with her Japanese father, Kiwi (NZ) mother and two older brothers. When she isn't an eighth at Junior High school or at Volleyball practice, you can pretty much be certain she’ll be in her kitchen satisfying her passion for cooking.

At 10 years old, she decided to start a YouTube channel with the hopes of encouraging other kids to get in the kitchen and give cooking lessons. To fund her passion she has held several pop-up cafes and with the support of her community has been able to raise enough money to buy her own KitchenAid and eventually a laptop computer to help organize all her recipes.

When the world went into lockdown in 2020 – Kiara’s kitchen began to travel when she started teaching online cooking lessons to groups of kids from not only Japan but also from around the world including countries like Albania, France, Australia, Poland, Brazil and more! To date, Kiara has taught over 500 kids worldwide.

Kiara loves not only sharing her two cultures through food and cooking but also learning about other cultures through the online kid chef community.
