Jënni & Johnny — Embracing our setbacks & the importance of being kind to ourselves
In today’s episode I am joined by my co-host Johnny for a very interesting conversation about life & running. We talk about things like embracing our setbacks as well as the importance of not being too harsh on ourselves when things don’t go the way we expect them to. I also open up about my recent foot injury, how I’m dealing with that and how my recovery is going. Meanwhile, Johnny is currently training for his upcoming 6-day race in Sweden in September, and in our chat today he shares some thoughts about his physical & mental preparations for the race.

Marvellous Mimi, ultra endurance athlete — It’s never too late to fulfill your dreams
Today Johnny is joined by endurance athlete Mimi Anderson, also known as Marvellous Mimi. Having found ultra running at the age of 36, Mimi is now a Guinness World Record Holder and an incredible source of inspiration for other runners out there. She went from barely being able to run a mile on a treadmill to finishing some of the world’s hardest and longest ultra races on earth including Marathon de Sables, double Spartathlon and double Badwater. In 2017 Mimi attempted the female world record of running across America, running a total distance of 2852 miles, or 4589 km, until she had to stop due to an injury.
In the past years, Mimi has completed some unbelievable distances and shown that with hard work and determination, it’s never too late to fulfill your dreams and transcend what you previously thought to be impossible.
