Every entrepreneur shoud listen
Love when Mani taks about productivity, entrepreneurship and everything about it....You will relate to his content as he speaks from his experience.
An OK self-improvement podcast with terrible sales pitch
I stumbled upon this podcast while searching for information about a book, and got interested because the idea of the podcast, while far from being original, seems appealing.
And after going through all of 360+ of its episodes, I'm inclined to believe that I'm fed up with the podcast. Mani Vaya, the host, came across as a nerdy, awkward Indian guy who is enthusiastic about parroting popular ideas in the entrepreneurship and self-development world, while his business, as great as he claims to be, is third-rate at best.
To be fair, if you're new to the personal development world, a lot of content in this podcast will be useful to you. But if you're more experienced, this podcast can be a waste of time. Mani basically structures much of his podcast episodes with the ulterior motive to push his products, which seems to keep on changing because he still hasn't got things figured out.
Overall, there is a lack of competency in pretty much the whole presentation of the business from design, web design to sales pitches (which is common in businesses primarilily operated as a one-man show). The sales pitches on this podcast are particularly terrible, as it reminds you of someone who operates under the selfishness and scarcity mindset.
(after all, people can tell if your primary motive is to sell or help from miles away.)
Again, I like the idea of condensing the gems of books into a podcast, but there's just too much opportunity cost listening to this podcast. There are plenty of people online who are trying to discover themselves by selling or promoting stuffs based on what they found in others' books, and I'd prefer to refrain from gurus who can't advocate the Golden Rule which they preach or even make the distinction between courage and mental toughness.
Great Show
As an author and avid reader, I love this show. Many of the books highlighted have been game changing books in my life. Looking forward to continued listens :-)
