    Thoughts on Goal-Setting and Failure

    Thoughts on Goal-Setting and Failure

On this episode, I go through some verbal processing about goals, failure, and reframing failure.   These seem to be recurring themes for me this year, so why not keep processing it?  I hope this is helpful for anyone who listens, too!

Doing the Best We Can (Right Now)

Doing the Best We Can (Right Now)

One of the "lovely" traits of ADHD is that we tend to be good at being consistently inconsistent.  (In this case, I'll speak for myself.)  We have our ups and downs, life can be predictably unpredictable, and getting stuck in a slump seems to be one of my specialties.

In this episode, I hope you are reminded that no matter where you are or what you're doing, whether you're feeling unmotivated, directionless, or drained, whatever it is you're feeling - it doesn't make you weak.

Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to take care of you - because you matter too.

    Remembering My Wins

    Remembering My Wins

Over a month ago, I proposed a challenge:  From May 27th until June 30th, 2022, I was going to journal and list three wins every single day.

Did I manage to write three wins every day?  Did you join me in this challenge?

In this episode, I reflect on the lessons learned behind attempting this challenge,  my emotional state working through this while I was sick, and why I believe writing down a win every once in a while is useful.

This exercise was inspired by one of the exercises we do in ADHD reWired's Coaching & Accountability Groups at CoachingreWired.com!

    Wrestling Resting

    Wrestling Resting

I'm finally getting momentum with my podcast again and am mostly recovered from being sick.  On this episode, I address the guilt I've felt when resting or engaging in self-care, the rejection of self, and how that mindset was adopted.

If you need to get some rest or start engaging in more self-care activities, I hope this episode inspires you to do that.   Self-care is not selfish, and your self-care matters!

    Thoughts on Learning

    Thoughts on Learning

We all have different ways of learning and have all taken different paths to get to where we are today.  In our uniqueness, we've developed different skills and talents, we've acquired different tools and have our own areas of genius and knowledge.

I share my thoughts about our unique ways of learning, our unique ways of applying ourselves, and why the tools we use (and how we utilize them) may not be useful for everyone.

ADHDFLer ,

A much needed view.

MJ’s openness and perspective is helpful to those of us who have struggled to find our place and worth as people who aren’t the stereotypical ADHDer and don’t want to feel broken.
