Hello. This is Byron Katie, and I welcome you to the “At Home with Byron Katie” podcast.

Each week, you’ll find me here with a different guest as we inquire into the cause of all suffering and how to end it. I SO love what each guest brings to the table, and I hope that you will too.

Is there a problem in your world? Is there someone in your life, past or present, who resembles my guest or the person to whom my guest is relating?

Invite your mind to stillness, relax, pay attention moment by moment as you join us from wherever you are, as you relate what you hear to your own life, and experience the internal thrill of enlightenment—not only as some exalted state of mind but as the elementary, doable, down-to-earth experience of understanding the cause of all suffering and how to end it.

We exercise our bodies, but what about our minds? Think of this podcast as mental hygiene. I marvel at the courage, depth and humor that each guest brings to the table and invite you to get quiet, relax, move attention to your breath, open your heart and mind to inquiry. Now meet my next guest and let’s do The Work.

    #21: A Life Without Purpose

Welcome to the podcast. Adam, my guest today, judges himself harshly because not enough is happening for him financially. He lacks motivation and purpose, he thinks. He's afraid that he is a loser.

Can you relate to this? Have you ever experienced yourself as ambivalent, unfocused, hopeless? Do you think you should be doing more than you do, earning more than you earn? Join Adam as he questions the thoughts that are making him miserable. Open your mind and follow as he investigates the cause of what he considers a stubborn, lazy, sedentary, directionless life. Match his experience to your own, enter his sincere questioning, and let's do The Work. Would you give yourself anything less than freedom?

WOW helpful with living my authentic life

Katie’s The Work has changed my life for the better. To find “my” truth, among the endless stories programmed in since childhood, is allowing me to live in The Peace that passeth all understanding, more and more now. Living less afraid, and even confident to be my authentic self no matter what arises. One by one, my old fears are replaced. Seen for what fears actually are, where and how they originate, their effect on my living now, is an incredible revelation, which empowers me. Empowers me to see who I truly am, now, and what is actually real in “my” life, now. It really is the truth that sets me free. My truth.
Katie’s inquiry, she calls The Work, is the “HOW” tool. Truly Amazing.

Key to Freedom and Joy

Byron Katie’s The Work has provided me with so much clarity. I now understand that all the anxiety I have experienced from an early age was completely the result of my identification with my thoughts. The Work has shown me how to question my thoughts and release myself from the prison in my mind. The Work is so simple and yet so profound. I feel so much freer and so much more joyful than ever before! Thank you so much for showing me the way, Katie and team. <3
