Beyond All Repair
Imagine you're accused of something horrific. You swear you didn't do it, but someone says they witnessed it: your own brother. Sophia Johnson was newly married with a baby on the way when she became the prime suspect in her mother-in-law's brutal murder. WBUR's Amory Sivertson reexamines a case unsolved, a family torn apart, and the woman who wasn't believed.

Kane and Gross went WAY beyond the rights of victims, they violated Jake’s constitutional rights!!! I’m angry!
Cringe - gullible journalist

Jake committed premeditated murder. He wanted to kill and just went after an easy target. He bought a knife, he got the keys, he knew where the money was and studied the map. He probably made sure he slept in the same room as the victim. The final episode was hard to listen to as the journalist took the bait hard. Jake studied and read how to be a victim because he is a psychopath.. he doesn’t know what feeling is, so he had to read about it and create a story. He even explains how he spent hours with psychologist and if he was lying, they would know. But maybe not if you’re preparing and reading all day in your cell..like a psychopath. He received so much attention in parole hearings because regular murderers have motive. Jake didn’t. That’s scary.

I went through so many emotions during this podcast. I was hoping to find a social media account to vent my frustrations. It’s clearly politics keeping Jacob incarcerated. The only manipulation I see is coming from the parole board & it’s lawyers. I can’t imagine what Eric’s family is suffering. It was a horrific act of violence but Jacob has more than paid his debt to society & deserves a chance at freedom. Educated people (parole board, judges) wouldn’t make these decisions unless politically motivated. The reason for revoking his parole was absolutely RIDICULOUS. Shame on Arizona dept. of corrections -find some humanity!
