Crime Stories with Nancy Grace

Why does Nancy always hold social workers responsible? We have very little authority if no authority at all particularly when a judge hands down a judgement. What about the lawyers?!?! What responsibility do you have? The social worker in the Powell case was following the dictates of the court. This worker did not have a choice but to bring the children to their murderer father. As a social worker employed in Canada we are forced to work in a broken system. We are held accountable when the system breaks down. It’s easy to use us as scapegoats.

Listening to Nancy ask her guest 5 different ways, if it is a medical condition to actually require time alone, because the second she gets home she runs in to see her kids and never needs a second away from them. It’s self serving. And unnecessary. The guest being questioned answered the question perfectly, and the question kept getting repeated, so that Nancy could pretend to be confused, because she cannot possibly understand the need to have a second to one’s self. It happens in every episode. But this one was particularly obnoxious. And the guest had even had enough of it by the 5th time.

I like these short ‘slap in the face’ wake up calls with Nancy. I actually like this woman and her passionate response to the crime stories brought to us daily.
