Their sons, Lyle and Erik, were charged with their murders. A media frenzy surrounded the trial which was televised and captured the nation’s attention. Following each of their juries being unable to come to an agreement, the brothers were convicted in a second trial and sentenced to life in prison without parole. The case is back in the news and capturing the attention of a new audience on social media. And now, the outgoing Los Angeles County D.A. has recommended the brothers be resentenced, which – if a judge agrees – would immediately make them eligible for parole. I really like the Talking Dateline segments because I know how much work goes on behind the scenes for each program, so I enjoy a behind the scenes look, and it’s nice to see a more casual side of the correspondents! Episodes are great as always, well researched and well written. The podcast version is 10/10 for me.

Considering canceling my Premium sub as I really don’t like the Talking Dateline episodes, it’s irritating to have to delete them. Too many random extras feels cluttered. Just want the old style solid episodes back. :(
