    Songs Written About Movies

Here’s another song-concept idea from Patrick. This one focuses on songs written about movies, which differs from soundtracks. You’ll hear John Vanderslice singing about a David Lynch film and Neil Young watching a Jim Jarmusch flick.

    Spotlight On: Bpeople

    Spotlight On: Bpeople

Patrick came across a pair of albums from Los Angeles-area band Bpeople and thought our listeners might enjoy hearing about them. Led by singer/guitarist Alex Gibson, the music should appeal to fans of dark new wave post punk and early 1980s sounds.

Listen EVERYDAY!

Jim and Patrick do an awesome job mixing new music, classics, indies, genres and interviews in running show themes, week-long specials and one-offs. Short episodes give you a daily dose EVERYDAY (full disclosure it’s Monday-Friday, a guest host has yet to begin filling the weekends but a fan can dream). It’s two guys talking unpretentiously about music that they enjoy. Lots of guests from the RTS family keep things fresh and varied. It’s a must-add addition for any music fan! Goes great with grilled cheese and/or a cold beer!

The 'burbs will never be the same

After listening to Jim and Patrick on the Dad Rock podcast for the past year, I'm very glad I found this one. They know music, but they're not snobs. They love the old stuff, but they get excited about dicovering new music. It's the show I would like to do if they weren't already doing it. Give it a listen!

A Whole Lot of Fun

This daily podcast does not only focus on "rock". The hosts are knowledgable in a variety of music and dabble across the map.

Guests share their musical tastes and experiences so the show is more than just two guys talking about what they like.

Various younger guests help expose modern music and provide some insight on the youth of today.

It is fun, relevant and though mostly covering rock you get to hear other types of music.

If you are looking for metal this is not for you.
