The Ringer NFL Show

Would it be possible to turn down the volume on the little jingle that plays between segments? Just so it’s the same volume as the segments would be great!

So, each show has its’ own distinct angle (and probably audience). The Ringer definitely has a broad swath of product for football listening. The Shazier/Jones show has grown on me somewhat, the Friday show is my favourite of the bunch. Interesting, data driven, good hosts. Kevin Clark isn’t for me. He always strikes me as smug sounding, he never really sells his co-hosts’ bits, and if I’m being honest there are times he comes off as pretty dismissive of Nora. Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s how I interpret it. I was pretty happy to see Robert Mays get a podcast where he could really stretch out and deep dive because he and Clark were an awkward pairing.

Everyone else is great, but less Solak please

I like this podcast a lot when Ben and Nora are on too, but oh my word STEVEN RUIZ YOU ARE THE FOOTBALL POD GOAT. Every show he is on is good! Steven does a really good job of taking analytic concepts like EPA and breaking them down into examples on the field that make sense to me. Also your takes are on point most of the time, which I find rare for most pods. Shoutout to Ben Solak too for digging deep into the nerdy stuff, I find it hard to follow sometimes but it’s mostly good. Nora is also really good, I especially enjoy her and Stevens dynamic on their show together. They are the best combo IMO. Overall really solid pod. Hey Bill Simmons time to promote Ruiz
