S6 E3 The Girl in Polka Dot Tights
Melissa Nicholson’s badly beaten body is found on the side of the road. Newspapers at the time describe her as "teen hooker #3", but her family only remembers her big smile, sparkly personality, and honey-coloured hair. The 17-year-old is last seen on the Victoria stroll.

S6 E5 Boyfriends
The men close to Cheri, Melissa and Kimberly, at the time of their deaths, are all potential suspects. Boyfriends, pimps, and sex traffickers, could any of them have wanted the girls gone?
-
S6 E6 Evil
When Melissa, Cheri and Kimberly were killed in Victoria, there may have been four serial killers preying on sex trade workers and sexually exploited youth on the coast. Who are these predators, and what has been done to exclude them from the cases on the island?

Great podcast about local island crime
I really enjoy listening to Island Crime. I grew up on the island and never knew about Lisa Marie Young, the missing men or Michael Dunahee, until I was in my 20s and fell in love with this podcast. I listen to many true crime podcasts, and Laura’s voice is one of my top 3 favourite to listen to. She tells stories with empathy for the families and communities of victims, yet tells facts that aren’t always so readily available to the public from the media and interviews with authorities. It’s very apparently Laura uses a Trauma Informed Practice when making these shows. I look forward to listening to more episodes. I just wish you had more shows :)
Excellent podcast!
Each season focuses on a different crime, or several crimes that appear to share a connection. While I live in Toronto and have only very occasionally visited British Columbia (where the crimes took place) the fact that the series involves victims, cities and police forces that are all Canadian lends special relevance & understanding to me as a Canadian citizen.
Love it
I love this podcast pls don’t ever stop! I live in Vancouver island and love this stuff!
