Close reading: great for lit folks & crackpot theorists alike
Episodes are short, banter-filled, layered. Jordana, Jeremy, & Nick take turns reading you a page, and then they all talk about what sticks out to them. They fight! They agree! They build crackpot theories together! It’s just great. You’ll love it.
A Deep Dive for the Devoted
This podcast is just what the diehard fans of the Kingkiller Chronicles have been waiting for. It combines thoughtful analysis and insight with friendly banter and a dose of the absurd.
More than it appears
Nick, Jeremy and Jordana put almost as much work into reading The Name of the Wind as Patrick Rothfuss put into writing it. They ask the tough questions like "does Rothfuss plan where the page breaks fall in the book for maximum dramatic effect?"
For me what this Podcast highlights is just how much worldbuilding and story can go into a single page. I would highly recommend this Podcast to anyone interested in writing SciFi or Fantasy and who wants to build sprawling worlds without having to infodump to their readers.
