THE BEST FILM PODCAST. Believe Me!

I've listened to lots of film podcasts, but this one is BY FAR my favorite. Every week you have to well-informed film fanatics discussing the work of great filmakker with a lot of informed knowledge, and top-drawer humorous quips. It leaves you thoroughly entertained, and by the end of each episode you become more familiar with the body of work of some impotant art house, pop-corn blockbuster or trash cinema titan. If you're a fan of film as an art form, you're not going to find a cooler, more entertaining podcast, even compared to ones run by celebrity hosts. If you're a movie fanatic, or even a more casual fan of flick you shouldn't miss this podcast. It really is the best.

my favourite (current) film related podcast

The Important Cinema Club is the best film-based podcast currently being produced. Though I've been long time listener, I've held off writing a review as I find it hard to describe thier appeal. If you liked Violet Lucca's Film Comment Podcast, this is the closest thing to it. The hosts have the knowledge and do the reading to be familiar with the subjects they discuss but they never feel too beholden to the work. Likewise, they never outright dismiss the subjects they discuss. The hosts bring out the best in each other, Justin's sincerity tempering Will's more toxic-irony tendencies, and Will's erudite persepective curving Justin's tendencies to talk over some of his other podcast's hosts. They also share an enthusiasm that extends to the listener. In the 2ish years I've been listening to it I have found more new favourite films from this podcast than any other source. The other great thing about the ICC is that the episodes rarely go over an hour.
