Your Whole Life Is Built On Relationships

Your Whole Life Is Built On Relationships

Our whole life is built on relationships. We are literally in relationship to everything and everyone around us. The fact is, happy, healthy, strong relationships with others only happen if we have cultivated one with ourselves.
If we don’t take care of the primary, internal relationships first - with Self, Source and Spirit - there’s no way we’re going to relate to the rest of the world in a deeply fulfilling manner.
Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about understanding our role in the suffering we experience. As I often say to my clients and members, “You are the common denominator in all of your relationships.”
It’s not enough to sit back and complain about why things keep happening the way they do - you have to be willing to look inward and see what’s yours to own.
If we want better relationships with the world and people around us, it starts with us and our connection to the Divine.
Going back to Source and Spirit is where everything else is born out of: our relationship in marriage and partnerships, with our kids, friends, work and business, our creativity… they’re all affected by how we connect internally with ourselves and our Spiritual Team (ST).
Before you can change your lives… Before you can change your relationships.... Before you can change the world, you’ve gotta’ change your own damn self.
We have to do the personal and Spiritual work of owning both our brilliance and bullsh*t.
And I know just the thing to help you do that, week in and week out. Listen to find out!

You’re The One You’ve Been Waiting For

You’re The One You’ve Been Waiting For

Sometimes in life, we’ve gotta’ be our own hero. It does us no good to sit around waiting for someone else to come and save us.
Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about showing up for ourselves, making our own decisions and not asking permission from anyone to do it.
The sooner we realize that there’s no knight in shining armour coming to our rescue and that we’re responsible for our own choices, peace, happiness and healing; the healthier and more complete we will be.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that we’ll never need or want any outside help. From time to time, we of course, will need some assistance, guidance and input from our external world.
In fact, it’s totally OK and encouraged to seek support in the areas that we’re struggling in - so long as we don’t make that external support - the end all be all in every area of our life.
We don’t want to wait around waiting for others to fix us, clean up our messes, complete us or to give you permission to do the things we know we need to do. Go out and be proactive in your own healing. Seek your own liberation. Be your own hero!

    Don't Shrink + Don't Puff Up

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about how a story I heard from author and researcher Brene’ Brown, inspired this episode of becoming more aware of our fear state so that we can stop ourselves from shrinking down or puffing up out of fear and instead make a conscious choice for Love to “stand on the sacred ground” that God you.

    It's Not About The Pasta

    It's Not About The Pasta

Let’s be honest, it’s not really about the pasta.
Whenever we find ourselves upset or not at peace - it helps to recognize that it’s often not about that thing. It was actually about all the built up hurt, anger, frustration or needs that have not been met within us.

If we’re willing to be honest, sometimes we lose our cool over the smallest shit and to the person on the receiving end - it seems like we’ve lost our ever loving mind. Ha!

When the reality is that leading up to this moment in time, we’ve been pushing down, shoving into the cupboard or closets of our bodies and minds, all of our internal frustrations. Stuff has been building up and the emotional landmine has been set.
Only to one day, have something that seems insignificant such as “the pantry being out of pasta” - trigger us, push a button or set us off. BOOM! And Lord help the poor suckers or accused that lie in our wake or stand in our way.
Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re taking a look at what it means to be really open and honest about how we’re feeling “along the way” and dealing with them as things come up - rather than holding it all in until we literally explode all over the next person that happens to walk into the room.
Sometimes, when we're unhappy or suffering, we think it's about the thing that just happened or the button that got pushed by someone else, but it's not. It's almost never about that or them. In order to heal and deepen our relationships with ourselves and others, we have to be vulnerable, take ownership and delve more deeply into the heart of things, so we can recognize that at the end of the day - it’s not about the pasta.
