Ep. 229: How to Attack "What Questions Do You Have for Us?"

Ep. 229: How to Attack "What Questions Do You Have for Us?"

It's Wedding Season! says the popular film, but just as importantly: "It's Job Hunting Season!"
If you want to go deeper, here are three ideal places:
A Short Episode on How I Ask Questions

    Joe@onepercentbetterproject.com
In the meantime, with job hunting season comes job interviews and with job interviews comes stress and uncertainty for most people. There's a lot to say on the topic, but for now . . .
This episode presents my framework for how to tackle what could be the most awkward part of a job interview.
    The conversation has gone well.
    The question answering is over.
    You can breathe.
    Then . . . you know it's coming.
The interviewer asks: What questions do you have for us?
    Gulp.
Messing up this question could be the single biggest wasted opportunity of the entire interview.
Instead of stalling, or worse, passing on this opportunity, listen in to how to turn this portion of the interview into a golden opportunity to seal the deal.
If you want to go deeper, here are three ideal places:

Ep. 228: Jude Charles 1% Better Dramatic Leverage

Ep. 228: Jude Charles 1% Better Dramatic Leverage

    Today's conversation began with curiosity.
Jude Charles  joined a damn good conversation on Twitter and several exchanges later, we hit it off. He kept asking good questions, and I dove deeper into his work.
In this conversation, Jude shares his approach to creating dramatic results by telling powerful stories of all kinds. My favorite moment of the conversation happens halfway through when Jude gives me an impromptu coaching session on my storytelling. You'll hear how to apply those lessons to your life.
Learn more about his work at Jude's Website and in the meantime, enjoy this conversation.
Oh! Before I forget, if you do creative work, consider joining the Damn Good Conversations Coaching Community this October. Find out more HERE.

Ep. 227: The Danger of the 9-Word Question

You: Send Me Your Thoughts Here
It's a fascinating idea worth thinking about.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Ep. 226: Stephen M.R. Covey 1% Better Trust & Inspiration

    Today's conversation is damn good.
Stephen Covey's newest book Trust and Inspire is a fabulous primer for leaders tired of the command and control leadership style.
Covey offers a new way, one designed to unleash the potential within all of us. If getting 1% better is about anything at all, that is certainly it.
If I can inspire you with a project you are working on, head HERE and drop me a note.
This week a listener asked me for Zoe Chance's favorite pizza place, and I was happy to oblige!
