Episode Limerick
It's the final episode of the show,
It had to end sometime we know,
But after 7-plus years,
We're holding back tears
Because none of us want it to go.
We smile, thus let us not cry
Don’t dwell on the how’s and the why’s
We shall all give our best
To Jared and the rest
And say thank you instead of goodbyes

Laughs, Listens, Letterkenny
I came across this podcast about a month ago and decided to give it a listen. Pert near the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
I love that this podcast goes episode by episode, reviewing and discussing, but also sharing a lot of facts and trivia that just enriches the experience. The hosts are amazing, hilarious and insightful, it’s like sitting with a bunch of friends and discussing Letterkenny and Shoresy.
I can’t recommend this podcast enough, and I know that I’m going to be a lifelong fan. If you love all things Letterkenny/Shoresy related, or even just like listening in for dynamic personalities bringing new and unique perspectives to the table, this is the podcast for you. To miss out on this podcast would be embarrassing.
Great job, Produce Stand Podcast, keep up the amazing work.
Great recaps
I love the effort put into these shows, and the banter between the four. It annoys me when some of them completely miss the point of a scene or bit (Matt - you always get it) and the relentless Twitter roll call, but overall I really apreciate(s) the relaxed chat between friends approach.
Finally, after about a month of listening every day and getting fired up every time it’s spoken - it’s pronounced “LETterkenny”, not “LetterKENny”!!! Listen to how Tyler Johnston says it PLEASE!
Phew! Great job all, carry on 😄
Enjoyable except…..
A fun listen overall with an eclectic mix of hosts including a special guest weekly. True fans of both LetterKenny and Shoresy who have inside info, clearly love the overall arc but aren’t afraid to critique when they deem necessary. They even managed to get Jared Keeso on the show which is a huge feat unto itself and deserves recognition as he clearly listens to and enjoys their work. Their interview with him is a must listen.
My only gripe with the show as a whole is during Shoresy recaps; the main host acting like he has any clue about “Hockey Culture” when it is painfully obvious he has no idea what he’s on about. Even when shown the error of his comments (usually by Victor) he will double down with ridiculous arguments and overall ignorance to the underlying tone of what is happening. The nuance is lost on someone who has clearly never been part of it (What is the big deal about going undefeated in a season when you know you’ll finish first? Are you serious? Why would anyone go after a player for trying a Michigan goal? So dumb…..).
Credit where it is due, often co-hosts (specifically his wife a lot of the time) will ask when they don’t have an understanding of the situation being played out (and heavily exaggerated for a TV comedy). She will say things like “I need clarification” and almost inevitably get an incorrect or half correct response from Al before someone else chimes in with a more accurate representation of the show’s heavily exaggerated, fictional, take on a situation.
I’d love to see them get a real hockey guy on the Pod for those episodes; someone who recognizes the small stuff; someone from inside the game who can help give context to the dozens of inside jokes from every episode that make is such a great watch for the rest of us.
All that said, Al does a great job of moving the show along, keeping it on the rails for the most part and this hopefully constructive critique applies solely to the Shoresy recaps/discussions and not to the excellent work he does for the LetterKenny episodes.
