"Are we there yet?" It's all about perspective. Pt 1 | Ep 12

Episode Summary“Are we there yet?”… Many a movie, joke or memory has been made about this one phrase. It encompasses so much, often with equal parts frustration and exaltation jumbled up in the mix.
It helps when you and I take a deep breath and allow perspective to influence the situation, helping to bring our experiences into better focus. That’s what today’s episode is about - Learning to embrace the journey is one thing. Learning to figure out what phase of the journey we are on is another. “Are we there yet?”…It’s all about perspective.

6 Remarkable Truths Uncovered in a Nursery Rhyme: Solomon Grundy | Ep 11

6 Remarkable Truths Uncovered in a Nursery Rhyme: Solomon Grundy | Ep 11

Episode SummaryTime, can we get more of it? How about a redo? Raincheck anyone?
All viable questions. Even though the nursery rhyme Solomon Grundy is metaphorical, illogical and perhaps nonsensical in nature, I have to admit there is something to be learned from it. Until we can crack the time code, if it's crackable, we remain bound by the finite concentrates that encapsulate time. This is where Solomon Grundy continues to speak to us.
Solomon's brief life teaches us some valuable points as to how to posture ourselves with this priceless finite commodity we call time.
    Enjoy pondering for a time:)
    TIME-STAMPED SHOW NOTES[00:00:00] Show Introduction
[00:00:22] Intro music and voice over narration for the show
[00:00:55] Introduction to the show - always looking for looking for inspiration and motivation from anything I can find.
    [00:02:07] Solomon Grundy Nursery Rhyme
[00:02:41] A bit of history of this nursery rhyme.
[00:03:23] Overriding theme of Solomon Grundy - time. We, as humans are fascinated with time. Solomon's brief life teaches us some valuable points as to how to posture ourselves with this priceless finite commodity we call time.
[00:04:47] Number one. Just like Solomon Grundy, everything has a starting point. Does your idea, dream, plan, goal have its Monday?
[00:05:25] Two. Whatever it is you are looking to do. Don't wait.
    [00:06:08] Number three. Focus.
[00:08:36] Number four. Live your life.
    [00:09:18] Number five. Life happens.
[00:10:39] And finally, number six. Legacy. Good ol' Solomon Grundy. Who knew a nursery rhyme could cause one to ponder for a time ?

Decades worth of Strong Evidence... Never again count yourself out! Part 2 | Ep 9

Decades worth of Strong Evidence... Never again count yourself out! Part 2 | Ep 9

Episode SummaryIn this continuation of Episode 7, Decades worth of Strong Evidence... Never again count yourself out! Part 1, I want to remind both you and I that age can no longer serve as a valid reason for not living life with Victory in Mind. In Ep 7, we started our count up with the 40 - 49 year old age group up until the 60 - 69 year old age group. Today, we continue with our count up. Like me, you might be surprised, challenged and inspired at what you hear in this episode.
That in spite of or despite of time, place and circumstance, these individuals each forge a path to living out their lives to the fullest. They challenge the concept of being “past one’s prime”. Let this be an inspiration to you.
Dust off your boots and keep living and walking with victory in mind.

Homeless? Despair? Gratitude?

Many can relate to the scarcity that is a part of many university students lives. I know what it is to count and budget for every penny and then have a serious wrench thrown into your plans. I was encouraged by the scripture that came to your mind - “He will not give you more than you can bear”, even though your circumstances then felt and looked unbearable. Looking back, I am persuaded that your gratitude invited that Divine hand to devise a way through the twisted interminable paths, that held no solution in sight. This podcast has reminded me that it is not weak to look for the silver lining in our storm clouds, but instead a great strength.

Excellent Podcast! Left me wanting more!

Waceke has a way of questioning the world and challenging my thoughts to help guide me to another level of consciousness. With the world situation the way it is, I sometimes have a tendency to “stick my head in the sand” per-say; that’s not always beneficial for me. The thoughts and questions Waceke talks about allow me to open up my mind and process the craziness of the world. The beauty is that her voice is so kind and soothing and she gently takes me through this journey. Definitely one of my favourite podcasts, looking forward to hearing more very soon!
