What Leads to Meaningful Change Now & in the Future? S1 Episode 21 - The #InnovatorsMindset Podcast The Innovator's Mindset Podcast

    • Education

Covid19 has proven that educators will embrace change when they see it is necessary to do so. How do leaders tap into showing value for change when it isn't necessary?

"You can't make others change. You can only create the conditions where change is more likely to happen."

In this podcast, I will discuss these ideas:

1. Change is way easier to make happen when it is the only choice.

2. Perhaps for many, there was never a direct resistance to using technology but more of an uncertainty of how the use of technology would benefit students positively?

3. Maybe people weren't slow to change; perhaps they didn't see the value?

Here are some questions to consider:

What are some ways that listening has helped you better communicate with others?

What are some things that you have learned from others that maybe you did not expect to learn?

What are your thoughts on how school will look like in the future? How will knowing what is best for kids help support these changes?

When we focus on what is best for kids, we have to focus on what that means, how that will look different for each kid, and show value for everyone. What are some ways we can do this?
