Professor Elizabeth Joh teaches Intro to Constitutional Law and most of the time this is a pretty straight forward job. But with Trump in office, everything has changed. Five minutes before class Professor Joh checks Twitter to find out what the 45th President has said and how it jibes with 200 years of the judicial branch interpreting and ruling on the Constitution. Hosted by acclaimed podcaster Roman Mars (99% Invisible, co-founder Radiotopia), this show is a weekly, fun, casual Con Law 101 class that uses the tumultuous and erratic activities of the executive branch under Trump to teach us all about the US Constitution. Consitutional Law doesn't have to be boring

Combining the crushing reality of #45, interesting thought experiments, and some really good music, this podcast takes something that might be grim and turns it into something we can learn from. You might already think the President’s Tweets are bizarre and dangerous, but have you thought about their constitutional ramifications? Well, you absolutely will after listening to this podcast! Come join our fellow student and host, Roman Mars, and let Professor Elizabeth Joh make us smarter.

Must-Listen for all Americans

Brilliantly presented, concise, and truly interesting lessons in constitutional law. Balanced, well-informed, fact-based information, but with a clear, traditional-liberal tone. That tone should not prevent folks of all political philosophies from learning about the meaning and impact of our constitution and how it is interpreted by the courts.

A MUST LISTEN podcast

Wow. This podcast ranks as one of the most timely, informative and well-spoken podcasts I have had the pleasure to listen to-at the most base level-the sound is well done, the voices are pleasant and no one swallows words. At the best level we have the benefit of an incredibly clear and concise constitutional law prof FOR FREE. Our ‘fellow student’ chimes in every so often to break things up a bit and adds gentle humour. Maybe I’m a law geek but I find the insight into American history and politics compelling content for me as a Canadian and a ‘must-listen’ gift to any American not already called to the bar. Thank you both for taking time to put this content together and abridging it to the perfect length each episode. FIVE MASSIVE STARS.
