WHAT WENT WRONG
What Went Wrong covers Hollywood’s most notoriously disastrous movie productions, digging into the behind-the-scenes insanity of everything from massive flops to record-breaking blockbusters. In each episode, hosts Lizzie Bassett and Chris Winterbauer dive into a new film to explore the mind-blowing (and sometimes numbing) reasons why making a movie is nearly impossible (especially a good one). Best BTS Podcast On the ‘Air’

Chris and Lizzie bring the goods every week for a look at beloved productions with infamous / notorious / ‘that could only happen in Hollywood’ histories of cinema’s most beloved bombs, treasures and everything in between! Well sourced and documented (with room for the occasional human whoopsie on fact checking) , the best part is that there is no cookie cutter format to the episodes … some focus on the struggle out of development hell, others focus on the on set doings and happenings, and others show the nightmare of too many studio cook spoiling the movie soup … looking forward to more !!
Best movie podcast.

Simply the best podcast about movies and movie making there is. Less opinionated and banter filled than other movie podcasts, and incredibly more fun, impeccably researched and interesting. Keep it up! Would love to hear an episode on Tarantinos “Once upon a time…” or “Jackie Brown”.
What Went Right (spoiler: it’s everything)

Fabulous podcast for anyone who wants a production deep dive without the countless hours of personal research. Chris and Lizzie infuse each episode with charming chemistry and banter, while managing to pull back the curtain on behind the scenes movie magic and make you interested in aspects you hadn’t paid attention to before. Thanks for all your hard work! Apple Podcasts they deserve a spotlight! Request: Would love (hate?) an episode on Blood and Chocolate and how they took a beloved book - arguably the anti twilight- and made just a huge mess; I’ve always wondered what the heck happened there.
Great Listening

Friends recently suggested this podcast. I was on a road trip between home in Halifax, NS and Toronto, On with my 20yo son. It was listening we could agree on. Daily commute I can get in another episode. I was born in 1959 and during my childhood read Dr. Dolittle. (The racism escaped my 8yo self as I liked the story of the doctor talking to the animals) I was so keen to see the movie when it came out. So dreadfully disappointed with the deviations from the book. It’s a movie I despise to this day. Have you done Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? It’s another book I read in this era and absolutely loved. In later years I was surprised to discover it was written by Bond author Ian Fleming. If you’ve actually read any of the Bond books, they are pretty horrid. Chitty is far better book. The movie came out when I was about 10. It’s the only movie I despise more than Dr. Dolittle. Other than the tricks the car does, no relationship to the story in the book. The car is given a detailed description in the book, and it isn’t what shows up in the movie. Many years later, I still despise these movies for trashing my enjoyment of the books they are based on. Love listening to you guys. For now, I look forward to working my way to present episodes Tim Halifax, NS
