In den tiefen Wäldern im Süden der Provinz Östergötland spielte sich Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts eine dramatische Liebesgeschichte ab. Noch heute kann man die Reste der denkwürdigen Kiefer sehen, die zum Symbol für die heimliche Liebe des jungen Paares wurde.

In the early 1300s the dramatic love story of Ingrid and Botolphus took place in the deep forests of southern Östergötland. The remains from a peculiar pine tree that became the symbol of the young couple's love can still be found here, and locally the romantic legend is passed on through the generations.
